Lethia Bernard ’17 Offers Career Advice to Students
Posted in News Story
Last month, the Department welcomed back Lethia Bernard ’17 to campus, where she met with current students over lunch! Lethia is a Senior Research & Policy Analyst at PAI, where she leads policy research and advocacy in support of sexual and reproductive health and rights.
During the lunch event, Lethia offered advice to the students on how to search for jobs in global health, including insights into networking. She described her experience in the program and how coursework and field research prepared her for professional life. In particular, Lethia cited the relevance of her concentration in health financing, as well as her field research module in Santiago, Chile. There, she led original qualitative research on universal health coverage and access to medicines policy.
The visit is part of a series of luncheons that allow current students to engage with program alumni. We are grateful to Lethia for sharing her experiences!
